Jasmyne Hinson is an American singer-songwriter and actress from Central Florida.With deep roots in the South, Jasmyne fell in love with the rhythmic feels of musical storytelling and honored this outlet of her creative expression. In the early stages of life, Hinson began singing in church while her mother would accompany her on piano. Many of her early influences are The Clark Sisters, Take 6 and the iconic musical family, The Winans. It was then that she began to recognize the concepts of tone and pitch. She considers herself spiritual and appreciates the foundation of her faith.
Her passion came full circle once the singer discovered her love for the theatrical stage, while performing in various plays during her years at performing arts school. Hinson often says, “music is the breath in my body, and acting is the blood in my veins.”
Jasmyne Hinson began her musical career at 16, in the recording studio, where she learned the ins-and-out of the recording process. While in the studio she was under the tutelage and management of singer-songwriter, Dexter Redding, the son of one of music’s greatest contributors to the history of American popular music, Otis Redding. Hinson credits her time in the studio to being the place where she found her voice control and development as an artist. However, it wasn’t until she was hired as a background singer for a group opening for Tweet, at Orlando’s House of Blues, that Hinson fell in love with the lights. Hinson attended Florida A&M University (FAMU), where she majored in theater. After graduating from Florida A&M University with a degree in Theater performance , Jasmyne decided to focus on building her musical portfolio and was granted the opportunity, in 2011, to tour as background for Fantasia. This is where she gives reverence to her having an understanding of what the industry demanded.
For years Jasmyne would tour and get called for gigs, all the while furthering her education and knowledge of business in music and theater. In 2016 Jasmyne decided to bet on her gifts and God-given talent and became a performer full time.

Since her early years of singing background vocals, Jasmyne Hinson has maintained a reputation within the Entertainment Industry that brings a high demand to her name. As a vocal powerhouse, and an enthusiast of all forms of tv and film, calls for creative collaboration continue to flow in.
In November of 2016, she was approached to contribute vocally to the Season 2 of the nationally acclaimed television series, ‘Greenleaf’. With much success, Jasmyne was asked to rejoin the show in Season 3. Shortly after featuring in the series, on November 13, 2018, Hinson introduced herself with her single “Everything”.
In March 2019, her EP, Moon Love, was released. The depth to her voice and vocal instrumental influences, in her rifts, put the world on notice. This piece of art served as the ode to her purpose and mission as an artist, “to always be felt”. With each note and lyric Jasmyne dedicates her craft to transporting her audiences to a place that is their personal oasis. Hinson desires to influence her audience through breathtaking experiences as those before her have; greats such as Prince and Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind, & Fire, and SWV, and Brandy.
Later in 2019, Jasmyne’s music was featured in an original film “Always a Bridesmaid”, which debuted on Netflix. Hinson has been touring with r&b singer Musiq Soulchild for the past 6 years. Jasmyne is currently working on new music to be released in early 2023.
